Immigrating to Canada under Skilled Worker Programs

1- Express Entry

Express Entry is an online system that Canada uses to manage applications of the applicants who want to apply for permanent residency under the category of skilled workers.

2- Eligibility

• Age: Below 30
• Having a clean criminal record
• Having a master’s degree or higher
• Having the minimum of one year related job experience in the past 10 years
• Having the IELTS General with CLB 9 or having French B2 certificate (the certificates should be valid)

3- How to Apply?

Step 1: Gathering the forms and documents and creating a profile
Step 2: Applicants will have 90 days to submit their profiles online (Meanwhile you can update your profile)
Step 3: Applicants will enter the applicant pool and an invitation will be sent to the ones who have the highest scores within 12 months. If the applicant was not invited in 12 months, the profile will be expired and they have to apply again.
Step 4: If the applicant was invited to apply, he/she will have 60 days to submit their application for permanent residence.

1- Quebec skilled worker (Arrima)

Canada enables highly educated and trained foreign nationals to immigrate to Quebec as skilled workers.
Since 8 march 2017, Quebec lowered the points of most fields of study. The dominant reason behind this decision is that the applicants would increase their knowledge in French and would gain their French B2 certificate at least in one skill (preferably Speaking or listening)

2- Eligibility

The single applicants must score at least 50 and married applicants should score minimum of 59. The applicants score must be assessed in order to understand whether they are eligible or not.

3- How to Apply?

Step 1: Gathering documents
Step 2: Creating an Arrima Expression of Interest (EOI) profile this profile is valid for one year and you have 90 days to submit the EOI
Step 3: Eligible applicants (with highest scores) will get invitation letters to apply for Canada permanent residency
Step 4: The invited applicant will have 90 days to submit their documents and pay the processing fee (CAD$ 785 main-applicant + CAD$ 168 spouse and each child)
Step 5: The application will be processed by Quebec government. In this stage the application:
May be accepted and the appliacnt will have to do the federal process right away.
Or
The officer may ask the applicant to provide more documents in 90 days. If he/she fails to do so, the application will be rejected.
Or
The applicant may be asked to attend an interview.
Step 6: If the applicant’s application was accepted in the previous stage, he/she have to submit their documents to the federal
