Why immigration?

Some people believe that immigrants pass the borders to steal the citizen’s jobs, increase the tax rate and they are like a threat to the culture of the native country. On the contrary, some believe that immigrants help create an active society and also the society will grow economically with the immigrants.

There are about 230 million followers all around the world which make about 3% of the whole population. This range has not been changed significantly in the recent 100 years. But since the population of the world has been grown 4 times more, the number of these immigrants have been increased too.

Furthermore, from the early 1900, the number of countries have increased to more than 200. We have the main 4 types of immigrant in 15 million immigrants which are: business (about 6 million), education (about 4 millions), refugees (about 3 millions). There is about 20 million official refugees in the whole world, and we can see that 86% of the them immigrate to the neighboring countries.

More than one third of the immigrants in America and Europe are skilled workers. This amount is within the economic need of countries. The immigrant welcoming governments will help the economics of their countries and will attract high skilled workers in a competent work place.

Some believe that immigrants destroy job opportunities. Evidence prove that it is not true. In America, immigrants were the founders of reputable companies like Yahoo, eBay, PayPal, Intel, Google and etc. Although the skilled workers make less than 15% of the population but they have registered more than 50% of the inventions under their own names.

Some economists anticipate that if the borders were open to the immigrants, and they were able to go their ideal country, in the next 25 years, 39 trillion dollars were made for the world economy. Of course there are some worries about immigrating in large scale and there is a possibility that the selected country would not be a proper option for the immigrants.

But this management must be accompanied by the recognition that immigration is always one of the most important reasons for human the human being to develop. Immigration is beneficial and in the age of globalization, immigration barriers have become a threat to economic growth and sustainability.
