Bulgaria is a member of the European Union, NATO and is a country in southeastern Europe. The name Bulgaria is derived from the Bulgars, a tribe of Turkic origin that founded the country The capital and largest city is Sofia and it is bordered by Romania, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Turkey.

4- Immigration Process

Step 1 (Month 1): Opening the investor’s bank account with a Bulgarian Bank and transferring the required funds to purchase the Bulgarian government bonds and receiving a confirmation certificate of the purchased bonds.

Step 2 (Month 2): Applying for an Investor D-type visa

Step 3 (Month 3): Receiving a TIN (Tax Identification Number – also known as EGN) and applying for a permanent residence by investment (Processing time: 30 business days)

Step 4 (Month 4 to 6): Receiving the permanent residence card within 3 business days after the application is approved.

Step 5 (Month 6 to 9): Starting the family reunification process. (Processing time: 3 months)
